Michael DelCiello is proud of the positive industry-wide reputation his team has earned, with top companies calling them the best team with whom they've ever negotiated — on deals that have been featured as case studies and garnered significant publicity. DelCiello aims for long-term partnerships that will help Comcast continue to succeed and scale. He's often bridged gaps in agreements with other parties and resistance to change by illuminating the benefits of a forward-looking approach. DelCiello's team has never had to go back and clean up a deal because they think through the details of how they will be operationalized and position for the renewal cycle several years out. DelCiello also believes in soliciting ideas and perspectives from junior team members, stemming from the foundation gained in his early career at McKinsey.

KNOWING HOW THINGS WORK

DelCiello majored in electrical engineering in college because he likes to know the complex, technical aspects of how things work and later earned his MBA from MIT. He now mentors his team to be prepared with a hands-on understanding of the products and all sides of issues. When DelCiello is asked for advice on ways to structure or pitch things that will be palatable to partners, he's often told that it saves his colleagues a lot of time. Enjoying completely new learning experiences that require total focus, DelCiello earned his pilot’s license in 2018.
